Toactivate the fireplace, find a potofsoupin the roomandplaceiton the coalsat the bottomof the fireplace.Coalswithruneimages will begin to glowfaintlyred.Next, insert the bellowsinto the fireplaceholebelowandfan the fire by pumping the bellows.So, the illumination of the coals will becomebrighter,and the built-in smokemachine will emitsmoke,simulating the flameeffect.Afterapplying the smoke, lookcarefullyat the coals:they will start to glowinturnandthenreset.
Memorize the sequenceinwhich the runesglow. This will be a clue for solving the next puzzle.
